Okay, I give up: I've created a brief (160 frame total length) movie and in .fla mode everything 'runs' and appears in order; but when I 'test Movie' or even after publishing the .swf, one of the layers just will not appear in the movie.

I've removed it, completely redone it (it's just one word in text converted to a symbol), repositioned it, top, bottom, anywhere, everywhere....and still, no matter what I try, when I view it in movie mode....it's invisible!
What in the heck is going on here?
I really don't want to go back and recreate all of the 24 layers involved to make this one appear----and there's no guarantee that it would then, anyway! I just don't get it....anyone encountered anything like that?
