As documented in previous threads, I'm using a couple of VMI to provide DTMF and calls to a fax server.
I setup all the extensions last year, but some have not been used or thoroughly tested. Today I tried to use the first extension I setup. Sometimes if a line or two on the VMI is busy, an inbound call to that number will roll to the General Deliver mailbox.
I've tested other extensions, filling up the four VMI lines, and none go to voicemail.
Each extension has its own line, setup with Rec'd# and PrimeSet. The set is to Fwd no answer to the VMI extension. And I have Call Forward on the phone to the VMI extension.
When I asked my Nortel tech if he knew what was happening, he laughed and said I knew more about VMI than he did and he never understood my fax server setup.
