One ext to ring to 11 others, only on demand 1

i have one ext, happens to be the operator, that i need to ring to 11 other phones, only when they want it to.

right now i have the oper ext in a cover group by itself, and 8 other phones setup to group cover that group. the oper pushes dnd and works fine, but can only get 8 phones in that way.

tried night service, but all the phones are setup to receive 1 call only. if one of them is busy when the call rings to them from night service, it goes straight to their voicemail.

i suggested ssa buttons set to delay ring. they didn't too much care for that.

any other ideas?

OK, this can be done, but not with Cover, and ONLY if you have some Single Line Ports, AND a spare Line port. (012 T&R or 016 T&R)

IF your system meets these requirements, I can provide a solution.

how about this: setup an analog station that is looped into a co-port. then, assign that co-port to the 11 phones i want it to ring on. when the oper. wants to send calls she forwards them to that number. of course, that will only allow one call at a time to come through......

i haven't tried this, so it may not work at all like i am thinking.

Where are you, now that you know that secret, CAN I HIRE YOU in that part of the country?

lol! i used that trick on a partner a while back for somthing different, it just never crossed my mind to use it here, until you said that. i guess is order to get more than one call, i could set up a calling group with say 2 analog exts. in it and just add 2 co-lines to those 11 stations.

i am in the northwest part of arkansas. if you ever have anything arould this area, i would happy to work something out with you.
