One click horiz. and vert align? 1

To vert. and horiz. align two objects requires clicking two seperate buttons in the align palette.

I was wondering if it is possible to be this with only one click, using either a modifier key, or some keyboard shortcut.

Any ideas?

But wouldn't running the action take just as long as the two clicks req. for the alignment on both axis'?

No. If you assign a shortcut key or put the actions palette into button mode, it will just be one click. Yes, the action will take its ime to run, but never as long as a person having to go click-click-er-de-click.
