Is it possible to create one CAPPI file with the information from two different DNA Servers?

At the moment it looks like our call logger can only take information from 1 server despite us having two.

DNA can't merge the 2 CAAPI files, but some call logger software should be able to. What call logger do you run?

I could write an easy VBscript to merge 2 files into 1.
Then you just have to make it run before the software does the import.

No longer an issue, Datatrack have come through for me and seem to have managed an import from the two machines witout overwritting.

Thanks for you generous offer though

Al

Can you tell me what CAAPI gets up to? As I am looking after a site that has DNA and Datatrack CIL but is not using CAAPI.

TIA

Yes, the CAAPI area is an area that is scheduled nightly to take the information from the DNA Directory and make it available for other applications, primarily Call Loggers.

The Call Logger is programmed with the network share for this information and nightly (after the DNA routine) goes to the folder and collects information from the CAAPI folder.

This file is then used to append more intelligable information to the call logger, such as department and name, therefore enabling reports to be run within Eclipse (or other) by name, extension or department.

CAAPI s found here on the DNA server:

D:\DNA_S\MRS\CAAPI

Hope this helps

Then, if you want the information it's free to do a script either as an JOB in SQL or a external VBScript.
This part is easy......
just tell me what info you want, all is in the DNA

As Call-logging we use Teleopti6.0 from
