OnClick Event for Button with PostBackURL

I have an image button I'm using to pass a shopping cart to paypal. It used the PostBackURL and it seems that I cannot add events to the onlclick for this button. Is there a way to trigger some actions before the page is sent to PayPal?

look at ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript
with this you can add javascript events (onblur, onclick ect...) your button should also have an attribute onclientclick.
