Once again I have a (may be stupid) question 2

I have two defferent people that are asking for flash. But they all want stuff that I have learned to do yet. My brother wants to have a banner with a like bright light coming through the words and then stoping. He gave me a URL of what he wants. It's not that big so it shouldn't take to long to load. But it's near the end of the intro. It's worth aleast two stars for anybody, maybe more. He might even through a few in... Here is the link....

Next-Gen is his nick name. And he is asking for this stuff. He is the one that is working on a Clan website. I'm having to help him with some of the grafx and the flash he's putting on there. Here is his site sofar:

I sorry that it takes you so loong but even on 56k it didn't take but a minute long than with cable. If you go to the members page and look at the members area logo, That is what he wants to look like the ugp logo on the flash. The one with the bright light flashing from the left to the right. Then it starts to fade in to the UGP logo. I've done everything I know to do and it doesn't want to work right. I've even look in three deffernet books looking for it (I bought one). I'm hoping I won't have to ask of you guys that much more. I'm going to go through these books with a fine tooth comb and do every example that it has so I'll be able to do them later. But until the I still would like your help if you don't mind.

Thanks for all your help sofar. If it wasn't for you in the first place I would have just said forget this and uninstalled it and tryed something else. I'm just hoping to stick with it maybe until I get just about as good as you.

That is SO cool. I love the way you get light to look crooked. ;-)

Seriously though, I haven't looked at Flashkits tutorial, but either it's too difficult to follow or your 5 (and I kinda guess you ain't 5). Take a look at the example I offered above, take a closer look at the light graphics and how they're formed around the text (ie: each ray has an impression cut out of it from the text), take a look at the 'transform' sizes of each of the separate graphics in the tweens (notice a pattern?).

That's all I can offer tonight because I'm hitting the hay.

Thanks... I'll look at it again and try to work on it. And you're right.. I'm not 5.... I'm 6 & 1/2 years old...LOL I'll look at it again. Hey at least you got a good laugh. (at my espens) I geuss I should pay attenen in school instead of staying up all night playing on the inretrnet. Hey old.. I just found out to daythat you can use the dish network on there system.. and I can get it for you for free. You'll just need to pay the programing. But the ofer is there for you if you want it... I'm just fustrated at this flash. I think I'm just going to give up and pay someone to do it for me. GGEERR... I can't get this thing to let me put the light around the letter. I made the symbol, "M" . Put the lines to the edge of the M on the top (like it showed on flashkit) and then put one on bottom. Then I tryed to put the fill in it and it will not let me fill. I have to close the image... Do you know what I'm doing wrong????
