On SendMail MS Application uses MS Outlook rather than Lotus Notes R5

When we attempt to send mail (emai) a document from a Microsoft application. The application is actually running MS Word 97 object in Internet Explorer window. The application attempts to start MS Outlook rather than Lotus Notes Rel 5.

Have check IE to make sure Notes is default mail client. What else can I look for to resolve this?

Depending on the release of the Notes client, check the user preferences from the File menu.

There is an option to "Enable MS Office 97 Send to Notes" feature that by default is unchecked.
