I am running a report that has case types as text names and the number of those case types closed in the unbound field. What I would like to do is run a report that will not show those text names if the number (in the unbound field) is 0. Is that possible or is the report like a template that never changes, only the unbound data changes? If I can't do it this way is there another route to get the end result I need?

You can make the text control invisible On Format of your report section, but I'm sure there is a better way. Give more details about what you're trying to do.
