I have Legend with a CKE4 and R6.0, 12 channel T1, not a PRI. Sometimes while dialing, and a few times while being on the phone, all the LED's on the phone will go out and the line is lost. This happens on all extensions and on multiple 408 GS/LS mods.Has anyone heard of this before?

Thanks,
Steve

Try restarting the switch. If no joy, then start troubleshooting the hardware. Since they are MLX sets, could you have the power supply overloaded?

IT doesnt sound like sleepy sets, but it is possible, isnt it?

There were also issues with certain versions of MLX and PROCS.

Do a MAINT > SYSTM > INVETORY > and get the HW & FW of all mods.

That may give some insight!

Does this every happen after a call has been set up or only after dialing and before the call is connected?

I have experienced this and found two different causes.
1.Dead analog lines or digital trunks in the dial out pool (890?) Goes dead right after ARS.
2. Already mentioned bad or mismatched hardware. Dies during peak times usually because of power supply issues.

If you think you may have dead channels on the T1, I can tell you how to access the channels one at a time.

Power issues would be my guess as well. If the power supply is 391A1 or lower I would upgrade it to at least 391A3. I seem to remember that any carrier with a T1 module should have a 391A3 or better installed.
