Can anybody tell me how long an analogue extension actually has to be "on hook" for the system to recognise the call has been hung up?I can't find this in Dynatext.Thanks in advance.

If you just lift the handset and hook it, the time is a few millisecs, depends of your phone ("slow" hook, or whatever).
On the other hand, if you hook up e.g. an analogue trunk line, the time to "find" the same line is longer (AS depending). So, where is this information needed?

If the on-hook is longer than 130ms its concidered hang up call .
Between 80-130ms is hook flash .
Under 80 ms nothing .

This times may vary in different AS and bc versions.

Thanks SYAR,that's what I'm looking for,the diference between "flash" and "hang up".System is BC9 CNA 85.It's obviously not changeable in ASPAC,any idea of which programme unit controls this timer?Analogue extension,no trunks involved.Any more info much appreciated thanks.

Think this parameterlist was changed in BC8 to
be in the then new unit ELDP .

Try this:

SACOS:UNIT=ELDP,REV=2-R2A,SECTOR=REL,ADDR=7F2,DATA=XX;

The data value depends on which hookflash time you want to have. Steps
in 5ms intervals. Example: 100ms = 14
200ms = 28
300ms = 3C
and so on. The formula is t/5, and this value converted to HEX.
t is the time desired.
After this sacos you have to start all analogue ELU boards.

THIS IS FOR BC9 only!!

Sorry, a small mistake, should be

SACOS:UNIT=ELDP,LIM=ALL,SECTOR=REL,ADDR=7F2,DATA=XX;

Thanks fcpli.Assuming you can also read the data using SACOP (I'm new to these SA commands)......
The command SACOP:UNIT=ELDP,LIM=ALL,SECTOR=REL,ADDR=7F2,gives the value in 7F2 as 00.Surely this can't be correct?Any more info much appreciated.

This is correct. Just in case, check with CNPIP:UNIT=ELDP; that your revision is 2-r2a. Also SFCEI; is needed after the value change.

I've checked it Mr.fcpli and it is r2a.I've checked a few more sites and the value for 7F2 in all of them is 00.Are you sure it's the right address?Is there a seperate address for flash timer?Cheers for the help so far.

Hi BBB!
Yes, I am sure. The default value 00 is set in the program code, so don't care about it. You just set your own value as described before. If not satisfied, change it back to zero (H'00). In BC9 there are actually no other ELPD revisions (in BC9) except European Parliament (AS Belgium? Daddy, is this correct?), but in your case the rev is OK.

Thanks again Mr.fcpli.The reason why I asked if it was the correct address is that we also use time break recall.If the value for "on hook" was 00 ms,then surely TBR would never work?

Problem solved.D4 of ICAT in EXCAC."Send release signal to connected equipment when the other party disconnects".

fcpli,

you're correct. but EUP has standard BC11 now... [spin]

Cheers
