Have a customer that has 3 employees that are going to start to answer a second business calls. They have a pri and a did that will associate with this second company. The numbers being sent from Co are 349. They want to set it up as follows: Calls ring at one person 3 rings if not picked up, ring 2 times at second person if not picked up ring at third person's phone then go go to voice mail. Any suggestions?
 
I think you will probably want to use COVERAGE, not GROUP COVER.

Extension A receives a CALL,

After some number of RINGS Extension B starts ringing on the COVER BUTTON for EXTENSION A.

After some more rings, extension C starts ringing on its cover button for extension.

And, eventually after some more rings, the call winds up in voice mail for extension A.

If that will work, more details can be provided.
 
Should have explained the situation with more detail. This business is expected to receive a lot of call volume. I was thinking along the same lines as what you stated with coverage but my concerns were that they get aa lot of calls in the voice mail. They want calls being answered live with a last resort for voice mail. My thoughts on the calling group were that they would have more time to take the calls.
 
Your could try using group call using linear hunting. The compromise here is 6 ring minimum before the call is handed off to the other agent and the set is logged out.
 
Depending on call volumes and quantity and type of phone set you might try using Shared System Access for 349 instead of Cover buttons. The Feature Reference covers this option quite well.
