On-Demand Finishes After 3 Secs

We're running GroupShield 4.5 SP1 on Exchange 5.5\NT.

On-access scanning is working fine but we cannot run on-demand scans. Seconds after starting an on-demand scan, it shows finished in the scan console screen. No mailboxes are scanned. The scan shows as started in the GroupShield and application event viewer logs but there are no indications the scan finished. Scan All is selected.

Any ideas?
