on board vs soundblaster 5.1

I have had VERY GOOD response with the included AC97 Sound
with every mobo that i have used/sold in my business.. What I'd do is compare the SPECS of the MOBO against the SPECS of the SB card, then search thru the MS Knowledge base of any problems related to the usage... During Beta Test I seen many problems ( NOTED ) of 3rd party devices and software. Not one AC97 sound PROBLEM that I can remember.. I use THE TERM AC97 in reference to ONBOARD SOUND NO MATTER WHAT THE ACTUAL NAME. It also depends on your needs for SOUND... AC97 is adequate for most.. but not all.
