on a Ultra 5, it has not builtin outside scsi port for tape

am running on a Ultra 5, I notice it has no built in scsi port on back, the for my XL tape drive, unlike my sparc.

Can i just install a adaptec 2940 and boot -r on the [ok] prompt.

or any other way, is appreciated

We buy our SCSI cards from Sun. Not sure if Adaptec will work but I'm sure you can find out either from Sun or Adaptec.
"boot -r" should be fine.

would you happen to have a part no., maybe I could search
somewhere else.

and for the meantime, I'll try the the 2940 adaptec and will
let you know the outcome.
