? on a Merlin Messaging R1.1

Can anyone please tell me what the top 4 led lights on a messaging represent. The top led is light green, all others off. Looked in install guide all they talk about is port and system status led's. Thanks in advance! Pertains to a problem that i am having. They have a legend R7 setup in hotel mode. At times the console phone line buttons will appear as someone is on hold. Touch the buttons and no one will be on phone. System worked for over a year now this problem has came up. Called phone company asking about cpc disconnect and you could guess how that went. They said was programmed but showed short on main line. They repaired short problem did not go away. Had error in phone system log stating that messaging was not i normal state on one day but did not write down error code. Will be going on site on Friday for more testing. Thought maybe console phone is going bad phone was a refurbished unit about a year ago. Still might be a problem though. Of course vendor says it does not sound like it. Any help would be appreciated? Thanks

What vintage messaging? If it's an R1.1 - then normal status would be the status light lit green at the bottom - as many port lights lit green aa you have ports - and the very top light blinking green. If the status light is off and the port lights are off - your messaging is offline. You could reboot the system - and see if it fires up correctly. If not - it could be a hard drive and/or messaging board issue - possibly a port license card issue if one is installed.

Actually in the Merlin Messaging R1.1 the 12th port was the dial in modem similar to the 7th port on the MLM-007 module and it is normal for the top light to be on. lg
