omnitronix datalink ? ?

We have a omnitronix datalink modem connected to our switch.
one of the service techs recently installed a ethernet card
on it so we can telnet into it. I know it works because the
tech configured it and tested it. But he went on vacation
for 3 weeks and won't be back till.
I tried to telnet into it and all I get is "Data-link"
when I log in. And when ever I try to enter anything at all
I get back is "error" on the screen.
Could somebody please show me how to log into this the
proper way. thanx

yes, I tried entering the password. No take. what ever command I enter it gives me the "error" message. Looks like
I might have to give omintronix a call.
