Omniback relabeled tapes

I'm using OmniBack on my HP L2000 to back up systems on various other Unix platforms. I have had no problem until now.

For some reason, after succesfully backing up to a tape that was properly labeled, Omniback relabeled the tape with a completely different name. the tape with its original name is still in the Omniback database. When it did the relabeling, it effectively destroyed the backups that had just completed on the tape.

Has anyone encountered this before?
