hey guys, im new to crystal so this may seem like a ridiculous Q, but please bear with me. i have a database field thats filled with several 3 letter groups followed by a 7 digit number code, i need a formula that will enable me to omit codes on the report that have already been stored in my database file.

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx

Are you saying that you want to only get distinct rows?

It sounds like you have a phone number field or something similar.

You can group on this field (Insert->Group) and place the fields to display in the group footer, or if all fields to be used on the report are duplicates, select Database->Select Distinct Records

Otherwise please provide version information (Crystal and database), example data and expected output.

I was trying to separate Distict Accounct #'s from one another, so yes it was similar to a phone #. but youre solution of just selecting distict results from the database menu did the trick

thx for all your help

and i wish i knew it was that easy all along
