OMG! failure after upgrade to 9.4 - HELP!

I upgraded both my operating system to AIX 5.2 and informix to 9.40 (doing both was requred by informix) and now my database will not start. The error message indiates that I should restart the previous (below) database and backup the logs, but I did back up the logs before the upgrades and followed the install guide to the letter! This is very frustrating, Informix's 'follow-the-sun' support is not answering the phone and to "start the previous server" I would have to reinstall AIX 4.3 and restore IDS 9.2 and thats utterly ridiculous considering the price of this software.

Anyone ever see anything like this? Ig informix/IBM doesnt call in the next 20 minutes or so I am going to try and contact the IBM north american duty manager or maybe I will just stroke out and die. Have not decided...please help!

Easy big fella! I too hit this issue with very similar if not the exact same circumstances. During the database startup theres a conversion process or something that tries to back those logs up one last time I guess. Informix support was a little puzzled when I hit this and they actually dialed in a manually flipped some flags to make the database think that it backed the logs up. Apparently, when you go from 9.21.F* to 9.40.F* this is an unforeseen bug and whether you back those logs up before beginning or not, this bug bites you.
