OLEDB or SQLSERVER Native connection

I'm a new user.

What is the differences beetween OLEDB connection to a SQLSERVER7 database and Native connection to SQLSERVER ?

Witch is a best option to create Reports using CRAXDRT in VB6 ?

I first used CR native SQL Server driver, but found a limitation. See my post:

Your best bet is not using Crystal at all. Check out Active Reports at

Hexonx, why do you recommend ActiveReports over Crystal? I have demos of both, but have not done much with either and will be trying to make a determination of which to purchase in the near future.

We are using OLE DB connections to SQL Server and they are working great. ODBC connections to SQL Server did not give access to all tables for some reason, but OLE DB is doing fine. We connect to many different servers with no problem.

As far as choosing ActiveReports versus Crystal Reports: I just did a job search on

http://www.monster.com.

Activereports had one job opening nationwide. Crystal Reports had 572 job openings nationwide. Crystal certainly seems to be more pervasive. That may help you make your decision. LoaferMan - There is no practice life. This is it. (Billy Crockett)
