OLE shows icon rather than text in CE

Using CE9.0
I am trying to show the contents of a small word document as part of report.

This seems to work ok in CR, however in CE all I can see is an icon where the OLE link is.

How can i display the text when the report runs?

Perhaps the server doesn't have access to that document? The path is incorrect (mapped drive as opposed to the UNC)?

Yuo should be able to just paste it in without linking also.

The contents of the word doc change from time to time and the report should reflect this when rerun, hence the linking.

You may be right about the server. Have you managed to get CE to work as i have described. I just wanted firstly to establish whether it does display text in this method.
