We have a database with pictures in it stored as OLE objects. We now need to find out the original filename of the object and was wondering if there anyway we could find out from the database with out looking through all our old pictures and playing mix and match

thanking you in advance

A comment - It's not a good idea to store OLE objects within Access. Much better to have them in a separate folder and point to the specific picture you need from within your database. I'd suggest that you make this change. I'm not sure, but will check that there is a property within the OLE object which stores file name. Will post again if this is so.

Hey Mikey (no pun intended),

How do you maintain the relationship with the links? For example, if the enduser moves the database or moves the OLD objects, how do you re-link them automatically, or how do you re-link them by using a dialog box?

Onwards,
