We are trying to insert word documents in AutoCad drawings as OLE objects. I can get them in fine and they look good on the screen, but will not plot consistently. We found that we need a different driver for R14 to plot, but in 2000 I can sometimes get it to plot correctly and sometimes the text in the word document is fuzzy and askuew. Should I be inserting the Word document as something else or is there a setting that can be changed in plotting? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi LandSurvey,

In your plot dialog box, press the properties button for your selected plotter. Somewhere in the treeview you'll see settings for graphics. Expand this and then locate the node that says "Raster Graphics". Select this and then you'll have to play with these settings to get what you need.

You can set up/use a system printer driver which can sometimes produce better results but your artwork may be less than desireable.

The final option it to do a paste special with your word document and paste the entities as AutoCAD entities - this may in the long run be your best bet.
