I have created a conditional macro to display a subform when the preceding field of a form is entered. I keep getting "The object you referenced in the Visual Basic procedure as an OLE object isn't an OLE object." What in the world does this mean?? I didn't do anything fancy -- I just created a macro. Where do I begin to look? [sig][/sig]

Hi nobuddy,

in general it means that the data type being passed in the macro is not of the correct type, or is null or you may have a syntax error. dlookup & etc functions are good at generating this error, i'm not convinced that the "object" is an ole type but i suspect that this occurs for one of the above reasons and access thinks it should be.

so start looking for data items that you are either passing via your macros or that your macros or queries are referencing , perhaps on you form. if the error can't be found maybe you could give an example of the macro and what it is that you are attempting to do. you could also try isolating portions of the macro to try and locate the cause.
