I have recently upgraded to Crystal XI from Crystal 9. In CR 9, I was using cviewImage and cviewText to embed dynamic images and rtf files into my reports.
I was able, in CR XI, to replace cviewImage with Crystal's own functionality, true dynamically linked ole bitmapped images, using a passed filename in my report. I insert an ole bitmap file, and then in the format of the inserted ole object, I reset this to a filename. Works great! I would like to do this with a Word document, but it doesn't seem to work. It just displays the inserted word doc and doesn't reset it to the word doc in the filename. It is also odd that Crystal still refers to the ole object as a graphic when I click on the word doc and select "Format".
Does anyone know how to do this?
