Help I run a tool managemnet DB is nice but the reports are naff so I ODBC link with Access, I extract the field which has the BMP file name. All the BMPs are sitting on a server in one folder I would like to print these BMPs with the report so people can have a pic of the tool. Can this be done I don't really want to have another copy of the BMPs in access. I have not tried ole before so don't know if its posible although my books seem to say it is I can't get the dam thing to go!

Hi Gofaster

I can't give you something specific, but this is what worked for me. Im using JPGs and GIFs, and wanted the same solution. I skimmed over 15 books at Barnes and Noble before someone on TekTips finally helped me.

In the onFormat event of your report use this code.

Me![imageObj].Properties("Picture") = Me![imagepathVar]

Use the picture tool in the tool bar, and click it on the report. Choose any picture on your harddrive just to place the object. Then in the properties delete the path to the picture. Click YES when the dialogue box asks you. Now name it imageObj and place an unbound textbox on your report named imagepathVar. Have its control source be the field containing the image path.

I haven't gotten it to work on reports displaying multiple results, but it will work for one result at a time. Let me know if you figure anything more out.
