Hi
Regarding the ESL or ESO files...
1. I suggest you always build COMPACT EXECUTE file and distribute along with that file, the *.ESL and *.ESO files. This ensures that the user can run the executable application with the extended version or the lower one based on his memory availability. Building it standalone is not a good way as for as i am viewing it.
SO THE QUESTION OF AVOIDING ESL/ESO is not good.
2. Regarding the jpeg, I cannot straightaway comment. I know cases where, if the jpeg files are opened and then reconstructed using suitable jpeg editor.. just even opening in edit mode and saving it as a different file name... saves lot of trimming. Example is Formati editor. I know the photos scanned in jpeg formats invariable get trimmed to 10% of its original size when i edit and save using this. SO EITHER FORMATI IS VERY GOOD OR MY JPEG CREATOR IS VERY BAD !. Dont know if this is going to help you !
Best of luck :)
