Hi all,
I've installed the GUPTA SQLBase 9.0.1 server on my machine and can connect to the ISLAND database with SQL Talk without any problems. However, I've been trying to figure out how to make an ADO connection to this database for two days now without any success. Both the ODBC connection that is being installed during the install process of GUPTA as well as the OLE DB driver that appeared in my list of drivers in the UDL screen after the install won't let me connect. The OLE DB driver comes with a message that the provider cannot be initialized. From within the ODBC window erros are a bit crude, but I suspect it means the same, especially because it doesn't even matter if the GUPTA service is running or not; both ODBC as well as OLE DB come upwith the same errors, whether the GUPTA service is running or not....
Anyone can shed some light on this???
Greetings,
Rick
