OLE DB(ADO)

Hello all,

I'm trying to find out what kind of connection I have with a database i'm reporting on. But the next to the database icon in the database expert im getting what I think is an IP address and the connectivity type (i.e. 123.456.7.89(OLE DB(ADO)). What does this mean and how does it differ from an ODBC connection.
