Hi,
I tried to install a database that was built on a computer with office 2003 on an older computer with access 2000 on it and encountered a few problems with the commands. Is there things that should be looked for or reference library stuff to be checked that is standard procedure when doing this as I have a few more to do and would like to save myself some time and my sanity. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Actually, the default file format for Access 2003 files is Access 2000. There aren't very many changes.

Probably you need to be sure that both the DAO3.6 and the ADO references are checked.

You might also look on the Microsoft site for "Migrating to Access 2003"

Thanks Tom,
Yes I know it's the same format but still I had problems with a simply openquery that's part of a macro option group with all the other openreports in the group working fine. Also an import excel file which I know is a feature of 2000 that told me I should reinstall access if I wanted to perform this action. Thanks for the references and I will visit the site you mentioned.

Thanks Tom I will have a look.
