What's the best way to get a tech. up to speed on how to repair & maintain some of these older systems? I'm trying to get one of our Norstar CDs (CBT0100) to him but not sure how much good that will do. Also, don't know if you can use these CBTs again after someone has used it and tested with the floppy. Any info would help .

I'd get the technician the manuals for each cabinet and treat them like gold and give him an opportunity to "play" with each system every time you get a chance, it's the only way !!

We did a CBT from Global Knowledge, and you can take the test only once, and then it shuts down. I agree that the best way is hands-on.

Thanks guys we've got some good hands on scheduled up and cross training before we send him off to our internal bus. systems folks for trainup.....where do we get these manuals...or gold?

check the web for Norstar Manuals, there's plenty of manual places

you can start at any search engine with Norstar Manuals or contact Nortel.

Usually, if you know how to program the newer system. You should be able to program an older the system also. Especially Norstar system, basically the programming are pretty much the same with the new ones. Just little change on the menus, but tech should be able to find his/her way easily.
