Hello All...So we have a 4 SPE Definity running V12 and inads modem stopped working. I just came into this issue so apologies with the scant info I'm providing...Anyways the decision was made to replace the tn765 processor board and for some reason the Th 2400-2401 was replaced also in SPE B. the SPE was powered down and when brought back up alarms showed license err and serial number mismatch. Tech looked on the TN765 and the sticker on it read V10. We are now going to order another TN765 with V12 figuring that the version mismatch may be a problem. when in the login screen now it shows License Error: Serial number mismatch...System will operate in No License mode in 237 hours...Question...The system will still operate in 10 days? correct? I did have the tech toggle over to SPE A in override mode. SPE A is having no problems...Another question...The modem lives on the last pair on the Aux port of SPE A backplane...Any ideas on why the modem will not answer?

The TN765 is a Processor Interface board that is used to connect adjuncts, such as CMS & AUDIX. It can also be used in a DCS environment. A TN765 has nothing to do with system or modem access.

Verify that there is dial tone going into the AUX cable. Is the AUX cable securily fastened on the back of the cabinet?

Does anyone know if there is any command to enable/disable the modem?

What duplication card are you using: TN772 or TN792?

Hey Kevin...Can't answer that sorry...I have no access to the system at this time. But if you can provide any info on possible fixes on the modem port problem that would do wonders...Maybe then I could gain access...Thanks again Kevin..Oh, btw..I'm all over Avaya support docs trying to find something on this modem problem..

What normally happens? Someone checks the phone bills, doesn't know what that phone line is used for and has it disconnected. You need to physically make sure there is still dial tone on that line.
