Could anyone please help with this problem, an packaging company has been using an old server box to run the printing presses for the company, recently the power supply died and was replaced. Now they want us to build a new system to replace it using a ghost of the old windowds nt workstation set up. We tried sereval higher ends board and ghost failed to boot , we then tried a Gigabyte Cheapie and it worked fine, how ever the major issue is the workstation refuses to load any mother board driver for the com ports or usb, or vga for that matter. is there any fix that coukld help us get winnt to insatll the driver, and we have tried win 2000 driver but they wont work, any help would ge greatlty admired

Does this board actually have driver support for NT4? There aren't too many systems out there that still supports it.
Before attempting to install the drivers, are you up to date on patches for this server (ie are you at SP6a?)
Have you checked with the software vendor for the printing press software to see if you can upgrade to Windows 2003
If you really need to be running with NT4 you'd best be served going for an older HP/Compaq/IBM/Dell server (I am sure there are loads on e-Bay)

Thank you itsp1965, no the board doesnt not have any nt support although gigabyte has told me it can easy run, yes it runs quite fine but with only win nt defualt driver settings, i will attempt to put on all service packs that i can find i will let you know if that helped, we did try and install serv6a but failed to find a exe to start the patch, the software is 6 years old i believe. The comapny we are dealing with are hesitant of the cost and dont want to let go of old tech stuff that works. We have however reminded them that a modern buissness with greater demand needs to step up, for example they have won several multi millon dollar orders and are only willing to spend under $5000..........to me that suicide........but never the less we will try thank you again for your help
