A client of mine has a very good qbasic vers 2.0 .exe program running on an old IBM PS2 computer.

I have transferred it to an IBM PC. When I run it under the DOS Prompt it tells me the path for the BRUN20, ie the run executable is not valid.

I do not have the source code, only the .exe and the BRUN20.exe.

Is there any way I can use this old program under present day circumstances?

Try putting in the path to brun20.exe in your autoexec.bat.

mine looks like this where the brun20.exe is in the c:\qb4\bin directory.

path C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;c:\qb4;C:\qb4\bin

You will need to save and reboot for this to take effect.

I have questions about QBASIC and how to formulate programs. They are supposed to be simple, yet I am experiencing much difficultly in attempting to translate textual problems into a QBASIC program. Have I come to teh write place??

Yes you have. However, you should start a seperate post and give as much detail as to the specific section of code that is causing you the problem. You should also post some of the code in question so that others can offer some suggestions or alternative ways of correcting it.
