Hi everyone!

I am looking to buy an Old Used Laptop. I only need one with 1GB to 5GB on it.

Here’s why I need it:
- I host a Weekly Variety Show in my city
- I play audio and video clips once in a while during the Show
- I want my friend (who helps me with the Show) to have access to all of the files on my PC and also be able to play audio and video

So, basically, I want her to be active on the Show, so she doesn’t need a laptop with that much space on it.

I don’t want to spend a lot of money on a laptop. Maybe like $100.00 to $200.00.

Can anyone think of a good place I could buy a cheap used laptop like this? Eeeek!

Put an add in your local paper, bet it will work.
This way you can help someone in your location and might get a good deal.

There are tons of fora (forums) where you can get a great deal on a used one. Ebay, in my opinion is the over-priced pits!
You can go to anandtech, tech imo, and a ton of places just like them, ars technica is another, they all have forums with trading in computer parts and whole computers, laptops too of course. I have over 200 good deals from these kinds of forums.

Why don't you put your location in a post. There may be somebody visiting the thread with a store name and location.

there is a canadian forum. I am nork over there.

I live in Windsor, as you know its only a few hundred miles away.

but i also deal at anandtech even though its US. i have ways to do it without worry about customs and such!

over 200 refs. Well for dealing with these places you need to have a reputation, there are two places to get one, and in those 2 places i have over 200 good deals to my name. Over 200 people have done bus with me and given me a good report is what it amounts to. Its all private deals.

I dont want to get more into this in public but you can email me at kingbee (at) cogeco (dot) ca if you want and i can fill you in.

Another good canadian site.

Another thing, just register and go on redflags or bigfoot, especially redflags and ask around there for a good store where you can get a cheap used monitor. you could get a 17 inch for $40 as well. There are people i know on that forum that live right near you, cant think of names but just register and ask around, people are always willing to help out.
take care, good luck. If you buy on the forums, be very very careful, ask for help.
I am nork on all the forums but i dont go on them much at the moment.
