I have 2 or 3 old T-1 Cards from BCM 1000s, are they any good for anything?

NARSBARS

As long as they have the "2.0" series connector on the back, they'll work fine. Only ones that are boat anchors are the first generation cards that shipped with Enterprise Edge 1.0 - those cards have a ribbon cable that plugs directly into the back of the card. Don't see many of those anymore.

Thanks,
Sorry if I wasn't clear. These are the T-1 CSU cards that plug into a PCI slot in the board, not a module.

Ah, the WAN cards. Those are still usable in the 200/400/1000. Only good for terminating a data T-1 to the BCM if you like your phone system to also be a router....

biv343,
Thanks for clearing that up. The rim shot you heard is the three pointer I just threw at the trash can.

I did that a while back myself. It was hard to part with something that cost almost $1000 new.

But then again, we probably sunk $1000 in wasted labor dollars trying to make a phone system be a router.... :)
