Hey All
I have recently aquired an old fujitsu mainframe terminal keyboard
circa 1990. its awesome- 3+ kilos, 128 keys, 48 of which are programmable.....
problem is, i have no idea what kind of port it uses. apparently the
keyboard plugged into a cable which was hardwired into the mainframe so
i have no chance of getting that back. it looks vaguely like a female ps2/din8 hybrid. pin wise (well, whatever the female pin equivalent is...socket?) going from the top, it has: 2,3,2,1

im not sure what kind of mainframe it was used with, but i asked one guy who *should* know but is a bit clueless and he said it was a Fujitsu.

Details are as follows:
Manufacturer: Fujitsu
Model name:F6684KC5
S/N:505698

assuming i ever find out what kind of port it is, do you think it would be possible to build an adapter?
ps/2 and serial mice for example - cant build an adaptor because they send different signals (or so i understand). would this be a similar situation?

i know its chances are slim as its probably mapped soley for the old
terminals, but i would really like to get this old beast back up and
running.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Unlikely. You could trace the power supply requirements and force power to it and then use a scope to see what kind of signals are coming out of the data pins but I would suspect that it will not be IBM keycode compatible.

Throw it away, and save a whole lot of wasted time and effort.
