I still use my old laptop to keep my books
and since its a 486/50 with a 320 meg hard
drive I am still toying with 3.1 stuff.
My question is: I have some old screen savers
that do not have a .scr file. They have .exe
files. How does one use this file in 3.1
windows? My old "windows for dummies" calls
for an .scr file to be manually copied to
the windows file. I have checked and there
are oem .scr files in it. Any ideas on how
to use these old screen savers.

Have you tried double-clicking on them? Sometimes the EXE file will put a SCR file in the right place and set up the properties so it's selected. Jennifer Sigman
