I recorded a macro that sets up a pivot table in Excel 2003. It works perfectly until I run this in Excel 2000 at which point it chokes on a function. Is this due to an incompatibility with the object library. Short of re-recording in Excel 2000 (which I would rather not do - it might not run in Excel 2003), what are my options. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Don't work much in Excel, but since all major MS programs are retro compatible, I'd go ahead and re-record the macro in Excel 2000 and expect it to run in Excel 2003.

The above is assuming that you've checked when running it in Excel 2000 and the appropriate references are, in fact, loaded.
