I've been approached by a customer about an intermittent lock up with lines and Flash dn. Never been able to re-create this trouble, but do believe it's happening. One of 6 (could be any) lines occasionally stays locked up to the Flash and the customer has only been able to release it by powering down the Flash.
This is an old DR5 version sp 30MULDr5... rtp 30GBF02 with a Flash version 1.0
Can't find any documentation that confirms that this version supports disc supervision, but programming offers it.
I was thinking of upgrading Flash software on trial...has anyone run into this before?Any attempts I've made to make this happen have always reulted in the line dropping off as it should.

The 6x16's DR5 can support Disconnect Supervision. I beleive that if the Meridian / Northern Telecom logo on the front of the cabinet is green, then it supports DS but if it is grey than not.

The DR5 for the 8x24 did support Dissconnect. But I believe you also needed the DS cabinet to go with it.

Verify telco is sending disconect supervision on all lines.
With a meter and a butt set verify line goes to 0 volts for i sec after remote party hangs up.

How can I tell if I have a DS cabinet?

Are you talking about green writing in a Mod cabinet?
I know the 6x16 is like that....but this is an 8x24 Mod.
Documentation mentions version 1 or 2 but can't tell which this is.Just don't see too many of these anymore.

it been a while for me too. I do know its written if not on the cabinet its on the software cartridge!

Its written on the top right hand corner of the KSU on the 8 24 .

On the upper-right corner of the cabinet it will have the model number:
M8X24-DS supports disconnect supervision
M8X24 does not.
