Old Nitsuko/Mod Key/DM 16 Help

I need to enable a intercomm button on a DM 1612 HF phone. We have an intermittant problem on Port 5 and would like to move that extention cable to the unused Port 8. The operators station has direct select buttons for intercoms 2-7 and 2 unused buttons. The system setup manual that we have is mute on the setup of those buttons. Anybody Know how to set up the buttons/lights on this phone and/or change the button labled intc 5 to intc 8?
