Have a MAT PC that is using windows 98. Everything works fine except the back up to floppy. I havbe tried new disks and that did not fix it. The system has been rebooted several times in the the last three years so I dont think that would solve the problem.

Everytime I do a BKUPI it gives me an A30F error. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. There has not been a successful back up in three years.

On that system set up we usually reboot the MAT in DOS mode to do a back up. WIN 98 sometimes gets in the way of the back up.

Once the PC has been booted in DOS what command are you running to start the Back up?

Whats the process for this?

that depends on how it was loaded. Usually it's something like
cd\2400ics>init
It could be CD\MAT>init

Shouldn't this one be done with DMBU Or is that older still? How old is the software?

has backup ever worked on this pc
may be a ahrd drive partition type problem.
I seem to remember the ICS 140 range was problematic with partition size and format
Fat 16 less than 1G primary partition rings a bell

Backup worked at one time but the PC died and needed to be reloaded. I will try the dos solution and see what happens from there.

This is more than I was able to get anywhere else...thanks guys.

Will let you know what happens tomorrow.

Well....That did'nt work. Gives me an Error in dos "ERROR OE AT IP 1541H". Cant seem to find anything on that error. Drives me nuts!

anyone ever seen this?

yep what operating system , what partition size and what format did you use

My sugegstion remains at 1G primary partition formatted as fat16
run software form dos if possible
