My Netscreen 5 stop working and this is the print old from the console.
I need help figuring out what's happening.

Phonehelp,

Normally the netscreen should boot past boot/diag mode.

Here the netscreen is trying to load a firmware file called 'd'from 10.100.100.4 on udp port 69 (tftp).

The reason it is doing this is because it finds no Screen_Os in its NVRAM. Hence what you will need is a copy of Screen_Os and a tftp server such as tftpd32.exe (take a look on downloads.com).

Once you have these both then run the tftp server and allow the netscreen to get the Screenos Loaded into nvram to get the system up and running again.

To get a hold of the screenos you'll need to register the box with netscreen on their CSO page and then create a case.

I called Netsceen and they provided an older OS (2.6) that I was able to load. It is working great now but I need a client that runs on XP.

Phonehelp,

the client unfortunately (if you are referring to Netscreen remote) is payware, so you would need to buy this.

You could however see if there is a vpn client that is freeware and build a dialup-vpn with that instead.
