Old Meridian DR External Call Forward Redirect to Cell DR5

I do this all the time with later versions but can I redirect externally with one of the older versions? THis one is SP: 30MVJ24 DR5?

TSoftware capabilities indicate redirect is available but there is no line appearance used we only use intercom keys because all the calls are first answered by the auto attendant.

The lines must appear on the set that is redirecting. Lines must also be supervised.

Older software would not allow external call forward, that was introduced with rls 4.1.

True....I assumed he meant Line Redirect.

Firefoxfire there is no such thing as External Call Forward Redirect as you have in the subject line, next time you need to specify Line Redirect or External Call Forward as they are 2 different features.

I assumed the OP was referring to line redirection since it was a DR5 system. As curlycord noted it would be strange not to have at least one system phone with line appearances.

NO. Not strange at all. This client has no receptionist and they want the AA to answer all the time and direct the calls to each separate extension. they do not want to hear the phone ring unless it is for that extension user. Many of their calls are immediately forwarded out via the AA to their cell from the Main Menu and never ring at a desk set.

Yes it is strange... a good tech will always make sure with best effort at time of install that at least one phone has all the line appearances, the lines do not have to ring.
This is to help in troubleshooting as well the issue you are now having.
