Greetings. We recently bought a new DellPowerEdge 2600 server with a DDS4 tape drive and BackupExec 9. When I take either a DDS2 or DDS3 backup tape made on our NT server with BackupExec 8.5 on a DDS3 tape drive, and do a restore onto my new server, the restore jobs run at 1 or 2Meg per minute! (Although if I erase a DDS3 tape and run a backup job from the new server, then restore the tape, it runs at 225Meg/Min. So I would guess it's not the tape thats at issue.)

According to Dell the tape Drive is functioning fine. Can someone tell me why this is running so slow?

Thanks so much for your help.
