I am working on repairing an old MDB (Still Access 2000 though) that is in our department here at the office. It is on the server and has multiple users. I wwould like to be able to fix some of the problems that it has but the individual that created it turned off the ability to fix it when he left. I am not able to access design mode or any of the different design modes for queries etc. Is there anyway of turning these back on so that I may restore functionality to the project? Any help would be tremendous.

By the way... I have already toy'd with the idea of creating a seperate file and then just doing a massive import from the old one. Just wondering if anyone knows how to turn these functions back on. Thanks

When you click on icon to open the database hold down the shift key. If the designer of your db has not used vba code to disable this feature you should get the database window. You can then go to the tools menu startup, click on advanced and tick special access keys. This will then allow you to get to the design all the time.

Good Luck
