I have a bunch of files linked on a site in IIS. User can open these files fine, but cannot save. They are forced to "Save As" and create a local copy. I need this file to be edited and saved by users (thus multi-user) but it only opens in Read-Only.

I have verified that the folder AND the file itself is Everyone Full Control. IIS is setup with integrated NT. The file is NOT read-only.

Is there something else I'm missing? FP server extensions have also been verified that they are installed. IIS is setup with the xlxs extension.

Has the website user been given read/write permissions? That is a seperate setting to NTFS permissions.

Site properties -> Directory tab -> checkboxes for Read, Write, Script Source access.

Chris.

Did that and stopped and started IIS and it still gives me the read-only. I am also an admin on that server.
