Need some help understanding the FCR from an old option system
VERSION 1411
RELEASE 20
ISSUE 22 ##+
Doing and change over from that to a CS1000E 5.5

Print shows:

REQ PRT
TYPE FCR
CUST 0
CRNO
CRNO 0
INIT ALOW
DENY 1 3 3
9 5 8
0 7 7 9
0 0

Not familiar with this layout for fcr and what exactly it is denying.I tried entering it as is but does allow me to do so. I know some you guys have been working these systems for ages maybe you could shed some light on this for me.

Thanks

the person that set that one up did not understand it either.. from your rdb
Code:
FRL 0 0
FRL 1 0
FRL 2 0
FRL 3 0
FRL 4 0
FRL 5 0
FRL 6 0
FRL 7 0

by default all frls = crno zero.. your post shows 0 is an allow table with 4 denies... post acod i can not dial the listed numbers ie acod=133 would give me a fast busy..

back in the day we used acod 9 for local and acod 8 for ld.. we usually made local only ncos 1, so for the local route we made frl 1 = crno 1, then we made table 1 an allow with 0 and 1 as the only deny..

then we used crno 2 as a deny allowing 1st digit 1 or 0.. then we blocked access to ld via trag/targ match..

for local rdb targ 1, for ld targ 1 and 2, so if your set is tgar 2, you can dial only local, if your tgar 3 you can dial either.. a 1 of course blocks both local and ld..

you could play with crno's/ncos and allow some area codes for certain ncos's but that was not common.

and yes some of us started with rls 6, the school was two weeks.. and mermail was not an option (yet).. there was 12 possible cls marks for a digital set

FRL 0 is matched to 1 but CRNO 1 is empty and all the phones have NCOS 0.
How does this playout? Does not really make sense to me.

So you're saying that Deny 1 3 3 simply means its denying 133.
