I'm finally getting the rest of our building on to our BCM ... Is there a way that the auto attendant can "notice" our old extensions (221-234) and route them to our new extensions (83xx-83xx)

I don't have any new DNs in the 2xxx range, so I know I'm just missing something here. Do I need to create a "fake" range of DNs then have the numbers forwarded from the 221 to the 8340?

The only way how u could do that is AA and then using CallPilot Company Directory... U will not be able to transfer calls automaticly with different extensions... U could also take some more Target Lines and add them to ur phones... but i guess thats too much work isnt it?
I used to play a greeting(number changed) and forward to normal attendant...

regards,

subx

I only have a new people (6) that had old extensions but the receptionist is being annoying about it ... so i "thought" i'd ask ...

Once again, admin people asking their tech support to use technology to solve Human Issues!

Just tell the receptionist to do his/her job and answer the phone and redirect the call appropriately.
